The Hydrolysis Units B-411 and E-416
The Hydrolysis Units B-411 and E-416 provide a safe and fast acid digestion handling for multiple samples at the same time. The acid hydrolysis is an integral part of extractions according to Weibull-Stoldt and is required in a number of AOAC Official Methods to determine fat in processed food like cheese, seafood, dressings, meat, etc.

  • The Hydrolysis Unit makes an important contribution to efficient fat determination
  • The ideal complement to the Extraction Unit B-811. Collection of the entire fat with direct extraction is not always successful when doing fat determination according to Soxhlet. In such cases, hydrolysis before the extraction is necessary (Weibull-Stoldt). The Hydrolisys Unit B-411/ E-416 provides problem-free acid digestion with minimal filtration time. Four (six) determinations can be done simultaneously. The glass sample tubes are inserted directly in the Extraction System after drying.
