PAP LBC (Fluid-Embedded Cytology)/ Co-testing with HPV testing

Automated sample preparation machine for cytology samples (GYN and NonGYN). It is a specialized automated device for the preparation of liquid-based cytology (LBC) samples, approved by the KFDA for cancer screening tests, especially cervical cancer.

The device operates automatically, integrates membrane technology and centrifugation in force to optimally remove impurities, blood, mucus, create an even, clear cell layer and retain the natural morphology on the glass slide, providing a good quality slide to easily observe and evaluate cell morphology.

Co-testing with HPV testing is possible

Operating Principle:

  • 1st centrifugation: the cells are collected through the filter membrane, then the cells are transferred to the chamber containing the density solution.
  • 2nd centrifugation: separate the cells with a density solution. The necessary cells will settle to the bottom, light white blood cells, red blood cells, and debris floating above the density solution.
  • 3rd centrifugation: Spread the cells on the slide.

Process 6 samples simultaneously within 3 minutes

Capacity: 72 samples/hour
