Introduction

The testing machines we propose provide the highest pos­sible degree of flexibility when making the correct selection accor­ding to the test requirement.
Considering that all the national European specifications are now superseded by the new EN 196 we can outline that there are just two main subdivisions:

A. EN 196-1 models
B. ASTM/C109, C348, C349 models

The difference between the two stan­dards are basically the size of specimens and the specifications for the bearing compression plates and flexural jigs. The EN requires both the flexural or the compression test, the ASTM C348, C349 require the same with a little difference in the flexural jig, and the ASTM C109 the compression test only on 50 mm (2”) mortar cubes. Some versions of our testers can be conveniently used for testing other products and specimens such as bricks, resins, soil cement mix­tures, gypsum, rocks, microcores, etc. using the appropriate accessory.

General description of testing frames
These machines, featuring a very rigid two column frame, have been designed for the testing of the cement prism either in compression or in flexure.

We propose four different groups of tester:

DIGIMAX SEMI-AUTOMATIC MODELS
Fitted with DIGIMAX digital display and processing unit.

Dual user interface display and PC

Accuracy Class 1 (EN) and Class A (ASTM) starting from 10% of full scale.

Compatible with the new, intuitive and smart DATA MANAGER Software. Very easy to use, complete with many functions, totally flexible, open to network comunications

Double stage hydraulic pump with rapid approach and precise oil flow control. Allowing high throughput of accurate tests (up to 40 per hour)

Optional internal graphic printer including Load-Time plot

Connect to laboratory network via LAN port/software

Allow remote verification of settings and performances. For easy debugging of unexpected malfunctions

Recording facility of up to 10 test profiles for each channel allowing quick and easy test start

PILOT AUTOMATIC MODELS
Fitted with PILOT automatic control system.

Automatic test cycle. Correct test execution according to selected Standards, is continuously and automatically controlled. See additional information.

Accuracy Class 1 (EN) and Class A (ASTM) starting from 10% of full scale. Special calibration starting from 3kN for 300kN chamber and from 0.5kN for 15kN available on request. See upgrading options.

Adopt the latest ES Energy Saving technologies. For reduction of power consumption and silent operation

Soft platen-to-specimen contact and smooth load rate control from the very beginning of the ramp

Optional control of a second frame for 65-L18xxx series single chambers testers. Active frame selection via manual lever

AUTOMAX SUPER-AUTOMATIC MODELS

Fitted with AUTOMAX super-automatic controls system

Fully automatic test cycle. The complete test cycle is automatically performed by simply pressing the start button (both via display and via software). Correct test execution according to selected Standards, is continuously and automatically controlled. See additional information.

PC control option. Double user interface based on display and PC. When connected to PC, the system is fully computerized and controlled by the DATA MANAGER Software
